Gangio ("we", "our", or "us") provides a gang sheet builder application for Shopify merchants and their customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Merchant information: When you install Gangio, we receive your Shopify store domain, access tokens, and basic store information required to operate the app. This is provided by Shopify through their standard OAuth flow.

Customer information: When a customer uses the gang sheet builder on your storefront, we collect:

  • Images uploaded to the builder (stored temporarily for processing)
  • A session identifier to associate designs with the user's browser session
  • Shopify customer ID (if the customer is logged in)
  • Order information related to gang sheet purchases

Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide and operate the gang sheet builder functionality
  • To process and generate gang sheet images from uploaded designs
  • To save and restore customer designs across sessions
  • To process orders and enable merchants to manage gang sheet orders
  • To calculate and process usage-based billing for merchants
  • To improve and maintain the app's performance and reliability

3. Data Storage and Security

Uploaded images and generated gang sheets are stored securely using industry-standard cloud storage with encryption in transit and at rest. Customer session data and design information are stored in a secured database.

We retain uploaded images and saved designs for as long as the merchant's store has the app installed, or until the customer deletes them. When the app is uninstalled, all associated data is deleted within 48 hours.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:

  • Service providers: Cloud hosting and storage providers that help us operate the app, bound by data processing agreements.
  • Shopify: As required by Shopify's platform for app operation, authentication, and billing.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. GDPR and Data Rights

We comply with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR. You have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Merchants can submit data requests through their Shopify admin. We process all customer data requests and redaction requests received through Shopify's mandatory webhook system within 30 days.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Gangio does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We use a browser session token solely to associate designs with the current user session on the storefront.

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of material changes through the Shopify app admin or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
